Myopia Management

What is Myopia and why is it a concern?

Myopia (nearsightedness) is an eye condition which requires glasses and/or contact lenses to see clearly in the distance. Studies from across the world indicate both genetic and environmental factors play a role in myopic development. High degrees of myopia can lead to increased risk of retinal detachments, early cataracts, glaucoma and retinal degenerations.

At our office, we understand the importance of monitoring myopia progression in children. We are committed to providing the latest technologies and management strategies for myopia. We currently offer axial length measurements – the gold standard in monitoring myopia progression.
