Dr. Evelyn Lo earned her Bachelor of Science from Simon Fraser University and her Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University in Portland, Oregon. During her final year of training, she completed an intensive ocular disease rotation at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, the No. 1 ranked eye hospital in the United States. She graduated with distinction and was honoured with the Outstanding Graduate Award in recognition of her exceptional service and commitment to the profession.
She has since been recognized with several honours, including the Young Optometrist of the Year Award from BC Doctors of Optometry in 2020 and, most recently, the Excellence in Clinical Practice Award from the British Columbia Ministry of Health in 2025.
Dr. Lo is deeply committed to each patient’s vision and is a strong advocate for ocular health and the prevention of eye disease. While she enjoys the full scope of optometric practice, her clinical interests include dry eye management, myopia control, and ocular disease. She also collaborates internationally with the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center in Guangzhou, China, to provide continuing optometric education for doctors, students, and patients.
Dr. Lo currently serves as the immediate past president of the provincial association, BC Doctors of Optometry, and recently completed her dual Executive MBA through Cornell University and Queen’s University with distinction.
Outside of optometry, Dr. Lo is an avid LEGO collector with a particular love for modular building sets. Her other interests include badminton, baking, kayaking, photography, and world travel.
