Dr. Jessica Chan is an experienced optometrist dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered eye care. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2007. Originally from Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Dr. Chan’s training and career have taken her across a wide range of clinical settings.
Her clinical rotations included rural practices as well as the Lebanon Veterans Affairs Hospital in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Dr. Chan has also been involved in humanitarian eye care, serving underserved communities in Jamaica and participating in TWECs missions to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She has practiced in Vancouver since 2007 and worked in under-serviced communities in Northern British Columbia for her first seven years, gaining valuable experience in diverse communities.
Dr. Chan sees patients of all ages and has a special interest in pediatrics, ocular disease management, myopia control, orthokeratology, contact lens fitting, and surgical co-management. She excels at providing her patients thorough eye and vision examinations and enjoys spending extra time counseling patients with complex issues. She is fluent in both English and Cantonese.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Chan enjoys baking, puzzles, running, and spending time with her family.
