Born and raised in Vancouver, Dr. Nicole Poon earned her Bachelor of Science from McGill University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry.
Following Optometry school, Dr. Poon completed a residency in cornea and contact lenses at Pennsylvania College of Optometry. During her residency, she gained experience fitting specialty contact lenses and managing myopia. She also worked alongside a corneal specialist in the management of dry eye disease, corneal conditions, cataracts, and glaucoma, as well as the pre- and post-operative care of LASIK and PRK patients.
Dr. Poon is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and has received an international academy certification in myopia management with the International Academy of Orthokeratology & Myopia Control.
She is passionate about volunteer work and has participated in mission trips to Chiapas, Panama City, and Jamaica. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hiking, baking, and playing with her dog Toto. Dr. Poon looks forward to building meaningful relationships with her patients and helping them achieve their best possible visual outcomes.
